A pair of breeding cats and their offspring can theoretically produce up to 420,000 cats over a seven-year period, according to the Humane Society of the United States. This overpopulation problem carries a hefty price tag statewide, with millions of dollars being spent by animal control and shelters for cat-related expenses.

Millions of unwanted and homeless cats are born in our country each year….it’s estimated that over 3,500 kittens are born in the U.S.A. Every Hour! On average nationally, a little over every 3 seconds of every day around the clock and around the country, a kitten or cat may be euthanized solely because they were born into a world that already has millions of stray, abandoned or unwanted cats. That’s millions of cats and kittens euthanized each year.​
